Memorial services for Steven Helmut Dietz, age 49, of Minneapolis, formerly of Milaca, will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Barb Peterson officiating. Music will be provided by Dakota Dietz. A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca, MN. Steven Helmut Dietz was born to Helmut and Carol (Freese) Dietz on November 19, 1960 in Milaca, MN. Steve enjoyed life. He loved being surrounded by his friends and family. His favorite thing to do was riding the open road on his Harley with his brothers and friends. He enjoyed taking trips to Duluth with his fiancée, Barb. Steve will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to have known him. He was employed at Graco for 21 years. Steven passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton, MN. Steve is survived by his parents, Helmut Dietz and Carol Deuel; brothers, Tom of Milaca, Terry (Vicky) of Princeton, Tim (Maria) of Foreston; sisters, Colleen (Jay) Schott of Exeland, WI, and Lori (Rich) Fischer of Mora; nieces, Sarah (Travis) Shultz, Teri Klein, Heather and Alexandra Schott, Dakota, Tabitha, Emma, and Kendra Dietz, Randy and Megan Dietz; nephews, Hunter and Spencer Fischer; great nieces, Kylee, Shelby, and Hailey; fiancée, Barb Lundeen, her daughter, Rae Ann; daughter Jerine; and his beloved cats. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Gertrude Dietz, and John and Grace Freese; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
