Memorial services for Allan Yatckoske will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 4 PM at Milaca Alliance Church with Rev. Don Smith officiating.
Allan Rae Yatckoske was born June 12, 1954 to Erland and Coleen (Presler) Yatckoske in Litchfield, Minnesota. His most cherished times were spent with his family, hunting, fishing, and watching the Vikings and Twins. He spent many hours watching Western movies, much to the dismay of his children. He loved rock and roll music, camping, and traveling.
Allan spent most of his career as a carpenter. He was especially talented and loved to work with his hands. His heart was split between Minnesota, Colorado, and California. He lived in all three places, each one bringing him peace and love in different ways:
Minnesota - his youth and family
Colorado - his children and the beautiful Rocky Mountains
California - the continuous sun and sandy beaches
Allan's love of life brought a sense of vigor to everyone he met. He had the courage and strength of a lion and lived his life embracing each moment and never knowing what was coming next. He valued integrity and the ability to laugh at one's self. His laughter and sense of humor brought joy to many.
Allan passed away Tuesday, October 26th at the age of 56 years old. He is survived by his children, Shawn Yatckoske and Amber (Cary “Boose) McDonald; his grandchildren, Adrick Yatckoske and Averie McDonald; his father, Erland Yatckoske; his siblings, Shelly (Larry) Gentry, Ron (Marilu) Yatckoske, Patti DeMarias-Kirscht (Dave) Kirscht, DeDe (Rocco) Moren, Dean Yatckoske, and Jeanne (Terry) Lamp; and many other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Coleen Yatckoske.
