Memorial services for Carol J. Fulin will be held Tuesday, November 02, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Milaca with the Rev. David Hahn officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, November 01, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Carol Jean Fulin was born May 12, 1941 to Vernon and Mildred (Otkin) Lepper in Pipestone County. She grew up by a small town called Holland in southwest Minnesota. She attended country school. In 1955, her family moved to Mille Lacs County, one mile west of Page. She graduated from Milaca High School in 1959. Carol worked for the high school principal for one year. She was united in marriage to Edward Fulin July 09, 1960 at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Milaca. The couple made their home in North Minneapolis for two years and moved back to Page in 1962. Carol worked for ten years as a bookkeeper at the high school district office, eight years as a bookkeeper for Johnston Motors Chevrolet Garage, eighteen years at the Citizen’s State Bank of Milaca-Ogilvie, and eight years at the Princeton Elim Home.
She was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school in the early years and served as secretary to the church council for many years.
She enjoyed camping, crocheting, scrapbooking, and playing games. Carol moved to the Milaca Park Apartments in June 2008.
Carol died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Milaca Elim Home at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 16 days.
Carol is survived by her children, Sheryl (Ed) Jansen of Milaca, Minnesota; Steve (Ann) of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Scott of London, Ohio; Myra (Zehr) Fulin of Castorland, New York; six grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Selly of Mankato, Minnesota, Ben (fiancée, Jen Waletzko) Johnson of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, Rachel and Rebecca Fulin of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Jordon and Jared Fulin of New York; one great granddaughter, Jalyn Selly of Mankato, Minnesota; siblings, Donna Trigg of Milaca, Minnesota and Larry Lepper of Harlington, Texas; also by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Mildred Lepper, and her husband, Edward in 1997.
