Eunice Elizabeth Anderson, age 101, of Onamia, formerly of Milaca, passed away on November 3, 2010 at Mille Lacs Nursing Home in Onamia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 2 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with Rev. Mark Maunula officiating. Interment will follow at Borgholm Cemetery near Bock. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Music will be provided by Vera Rick and Cheryl Anderson. Casketbearers will include Therese Harms, Gerard Kociemba, Josh McNinch, Jacqlyn Orcena, Edward Henschel and Richard Fawcett. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca.
Eunice Elizabeth Anderson was born May 3, 1909 to Sylvester and Mary (Shadiow) Harshman in Foreston, MN. Eunice attended grade school in Foreston, MN. She married Gust Frazer on February 28, 1928 and the couple made their home in Foley, MN. During WWI, Eunice wrapped bandages for the Red Cross. She also did house cleaning and worked in a garment factory. Eunice married Clifford J. Anderson on June 29, 1949 and they made their home in Milaca, MN. They retired in 1965 and spent their winters in Donna, TX. Eunice enjoyed fishing, playing cards, sewing, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In May 2007, Eunice moved to the Mille Lacs Long Term Care Center in Onamia, MN. The family would like to thank them for the great care she received at the nursing home. It was so great having her with us all those years. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her three daughters, Shirley (Wally) Carlson of Harris, MN, Donna (Reed) Henschel of Faith, SD and Arlene Harms of Isle, MN; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gus Frazer; her second husband, Clifford Anderson; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; grandson, Mark Harms and son-in-law, Verne Harms.
