Fermen Ovester Johnson

Funeral services for Fermen Johnson, age 96, of Milaca, will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11 AM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Casketbearers will include Paul Herbst, Daniel Herbst, Mark Herbst, Dale Herbst, Lowell Herbst and Norman Herbst. Honorary casketbearers will include Richard Herbst, Gary Reisager, Roxy Hazen, Wes Berghuis, Bill Kornovich. Fermen Ovester Johnson was born October 31, 1914 in Milaca Township to Frank Oscar and Ida (Weberg) Johnson. Fermen farmed with his uncle and father on the family farm near Foreston before taking over the farm himself. Fermen enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Fermen died on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Milaca Elim Home. He is survived by many friends, cousins and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, his stepmother and stepbrother.
