Beverly Katchmazenski

Beverly was born in Milaca, Minnesota on August 27, 1935.  She was the fourth child of six born to Merenius and Gertrude (Hanenburg) Kiel.  Beverly grew up on the family farm near Bock, Minnesota, until the family moved to Milaca.  There, she attended Milaca High School.  Beverly started working at the garment factory (Milaca Mills) where she worked for many years.

On October 01, 1954, Beverly was united in marriage to John Katchmazenski.  They resided in Milaca until moving to Foreston. Beverly and John enjoyed working in the garden, fishing, and hunting throughout their life together.  She loved baking and always had some homemade treat to share if you happened to stop by to visit.  After the passing of her husband, John, she continued to live in Foreston for nine years until moving to Onamia, Minnesota.  When a back injury left her unable to walk, she went to live at Signe and Olivia in Ogilvie.  There, Beverly resumed her friendship with her sister, Lillian Unger, where they became roommates again.  She occupied her time with putting puzzles together and watching birds at the feeders outside her window.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruth, Lillian, and Pearl; brother, Doug; and her beloved husband, John.

She is survived by her brother, Wayne; stepdaughter, Kathleen Martin; granddaughters, Lynne Krenz and Kimberly Tostrud; and great grandchildren, Alexandra and Jonathan; many nieces and nephews.

Beverly, although small in stature was a very strong woman.  She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Per Beverly’s request there will be no funeral.
