Beverly Mae Jensen

     Beverly Jensen, age 83, of Milaca, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021.  Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

     Beverly Mae Jensen, of Milaca, passed away on December 23, 2021.  She was the fourth of six children born to Lawrence and Ethel Sund.  She graduated from Guelph High School, North Dakota and attended Wahpeton State School of Science where she earned a business degree.  She then apprenticed and became a dental assistant in Edina. On February 20, 1965 she married Robert Jensen in Braham, MN.  They made their home in Maple Grove, where they owned and operated Jensen Trucking, then moved to Milaca and transitioned to farming for a more suitable setting to raise a family.  They were blessed with four children. 

     She and Bob worked as a team farming for over fifty years and were married for 56 years.  Bev used her gifts of working with children in special education and was a 4-H key leader for fifteen years.  With her deep Christian faith, Beverly taught Sunday school, vacation bible school, and served at countless funerals.  She was known for her incredible love of her husband, children, grandchildren, and her warm hospitality, always welcoming family and friends with coffee and a freshly baked cake.  She was honored to offer refuge and respite to so many. 

     Bev is survived by her husband Bob, children Gary (Terri) Jensen, Cheryl Krotz, Greg (Nikki) Jensen, grandchildren; Nicholas, Noah (Haley), and  Grace Krotz, Peter and Rachel Jensen, siblings; Eldon (Roberta) Sund, Robert (Joann) Sund, June Provost, Donald (Gary) Sund, close family; Luella Sharp, Carol Jensen, Nancy Houg, Shirley Houg, Rick Jensen, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son Scotty, and sister Joyce.
