Carol Deuel age 77 of Milaca, Would like to let you know that her work here is done, as of Thursday July 20th 2017. She received a call, the sort of offer you can’t refuse for a new position from which she will not be returning. This offer comes with a huge sign on bonus; a reunion with family and friends. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will enjoy dancing, gardening, and baking to her heart’s desire. She left detailed instructions for her family to continue to celebrate her life here. Carol was born August 2nd 1939 in Milaca, MN to John and Grace (Doorenbos) Freese. She graduated from the Milaca High School in 1957 and resided in the Milaca area her entire life. She was employed at the phone company until settling down with her first love Helmut Dietz, where they raised their 6 children on the family farm. After many years she began a new journey and married Virgil Deuel on October 6th 1990 and started her employment at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs where she then retired in 2007. Some of Carol’s most cherished moments were playing with her great grandchildren, planting flowers, as well as spending her mornings having coffee and great conversations with the ladies at the High Rise. All of those who knew her will remember her positive yet sassy attitude, great sense of humor, and a heart of gold that has touched everyone who has met her. Carol is survived by her husband Virgil; Sisters; Dorothy(Ted) Poorker of Milaca, Judy (Gary) Eggen of Milaca. Children; Tom Dietz (Roxanne Rothfork) of Milaca, Terry(Vicky)Dietz of Princeton, Tim(Maria)Dietz of Foreston, Colleen(Jay)Schott of Exeland WI, Lori (Rich) Fischer of Mora. 14 Grandchildren; and 16 Great Grandchildren. Also by many other relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Grace Freese; 6 Brothers, Delmar, Alvin, Lester, John Jr., Lester Leroy, and Walden; 3 Sisters, Tillie Girard, Winnie Packard, and Sally Lang; Son, Steven Dietz; and Great Granddaughter Morgan Trebesch. A Private Graveside Service will be held on August 12th 2017 at 12:00pm. The Family of Carol would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life on August 12 2017 starting at 1:00pm at the home of Tim and Maria Dietz.
