Craig James Swedeen

A celebration of life for Craig Swedeen, age 66, of Milaca, will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2 – 5 PM at the Gorecki Community Center at Rec Park in Milaca.

Craig James Swedeen was born August 28, 1956 in Anoka, Minnesota to Marlyn and Bonita (Morton) Swedeen.  He was united in marriage to Brenda Price and later to Brenda (Larsen) Swedeen for 22 years. Craig worked at Milaca Unclaimed Freight as a furniture salesman for 23 years.  He loved fishing, hunting, music, taking walks, hanging out with family and friends and the Minnesota Vikings.  Craig was looking forward to his retirement.  He passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

He is survived by his children, Michelle Swedeen (Robert) of Austin, Texas and Kaylee Swedeen of Milaca; grandchildren, Mistirae Smith and Haley Smith;  great-grandchildren, Landen Smith, Azaylea Villarreal and Athena Villarreal;  mother, Bonita (Dick) Wells; brother, Alan Swedeen, sister, Faye (Jim) Bruce; step-brothers, Mike (Marie) Wells and Scott (Mary) Wells; niece and nephews, DJ Hennessey, Stacy Hennessey-Volkers, Richie, and David Rochel;  also by many more aunts, uncles, and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Marlyn.
