Dale Johnson was born August 26, 1942 in Milaca, Minnesota to Philip and Marie Johnson. He grew up working on the farm with his dad. Dale entered the U.S. Army in December 1964 serving in Germany until November 1966. Upon returning home, he resumed dairy farming.
Dale was married to Pearl DeBoer in 1968 and together they farmed and raised two children, Kristine Grace and Curtis Dale. Dale was a hard worker and instilled in their children the need and reward of hard work. Dale attended Estes Brook Free Church accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior in his later years. Dale and Pearl worked together as custodians of the church for eleven years before Dale’s health prevented him from helping. Dale was a common man always putting the concerns of others before his. He enjoyed teasing his grandchildren and loved talking about farming with friends, family, and former pastor, Wes Macy.
Dale passed away July 30, 2018 at the Saint Cloud Hospital at the age of 75.
Dale is survived by his wife, Pearl; daughter, Kristine (Michael) Hennix and son, Curtis (Abby) Johnson; grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Madison, Rachael Hennix, and Josiah and Alyssa Johnson; brothers, Verlin (Audrey) Johnson and Virgil (Roxi) Johnson; nieces and nephews.
