Daniel Boswell Oviatt

Daniel Boswell Oviatt, age 75, of Milaca, formerly of Ashland, OR, was born June 5, 1946 to Clarence Boswell and Edwina Estella (Scherrer) Oviatt in Jackson County, OR.  He grew up in Ashland, OR, spending some of his childhood in a tar paper shack.  Daniel graduated from Ashland Senior High School in 1966.  He served two tours in Vietnam as a member of the US Air Force.  In 1987, Daniel gave his life to Jesus.  He attended Oak Hill Bible College, where he met the love of his life, Teresa.  They were married October 19, 1991 in Grand Forks, ND. 

Daniel loved studying the Bible, specifically, Messianic Prophecy.  He would frequently quiz friends and family on their Bible knowledge.  He wanted people to know and love Jesus.  One of Daniel’s favorite Scriptures was Acts 16:31: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” Recently, Daniel battled leukemia and passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at The Gardens in Foley, near his beloved wife, Teresa.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Teresa (Breyette) Oviatt;  siblings, Carole Frances, Margaret Ray, Karen Oviatt and Clarence Kimball.  He was preceded in death by his parents;  brother, Larry;  sisters, Roberta and Sharon and a stillborn sibling.
