David Beck

David Beck, age 75, of Milaca, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022.

Memorial service will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday

David Beck was born September 22, 1947 in Minneapolis MN.  At a young age, he was placed in foster care with his brother, Michael Beck.  They both found their forever home with Francis and Nona Belisle and resided in Bloomington, MN.  He graduated from John F. Kennedy in Bloomington and then proceeded to finish Cabinetry School.  David was enlisted to the US Navy and served in Vietnam from 1968-1970 as a Seabee in MCB 40 Division.  After his service, he continued his skills throughout his career as a cabinetmaker, building custom cabinets for the elite in the Lake Minnetonka area. 

David always put everyone’s wellbeing in front of his own. He had the most loving heart and never made a fuss.   Family was everything to him.  The loves of his life were his daughters, Danyell and D’Anna and then his granddaughters, Allison, Samantha and Michelle.  In David’s retirement years he moved to Milaca, MN to be close to family.  In his last few years David did what he loved spending his days golfing and joined the Men’s Golf league at Stones Throws Golf Course.  He was having one of his best years, he shared his love of golf with his granddaughters and family. He passed down his cabinet making knowledge to his son-in-law, Craig.  He took long drives with the top down in his beloved Red Thunderbird,  attended all his granddaughters events at school and enjoyed seeing them all succeed at whatever they did.

David was quiet, quirky, reserved and a courteous man who will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Michael Beck and Curtis Beck;  sister, Frances Parker and parents, Nona and Francis Belisle.

He is survived by children, Danyell (Craig) Wendland and D’Anna Beck;  grandchildren, Allison Wendland, Samantha Wendland and Michelle Schoening.
