Funeral services for David Burma, age 36, of Milaca, will be held Friday, February 09, 2018 at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 08, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church and also one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow in the Borgholm Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
David Eugene Burma was born July 25, 1981 to Eugene and Jeanne (Frerich) Burma in Milaca, Minnesota. He was baptized, confirmed, and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca, Minnesota. He graduated from Milaca High School and Ridgewater College.
Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and everything involving family. He could fix anything and was the first one to show up when anyone needed help without being asked. He was an excellent roofer and donated many hours to friends and family redoing roofs. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, the Mille Lacs County fairgrounds, and his church. Dave was employed at Parson’s Electric as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 292. Above all else the most important thing to Dave was being a dad.
He passed away February 02, 2018.
David is survived by his children, Blayne David Burma (15) and Athena Lynn Burma (13), parents, Eugene and Jeanne; brothers, Mathew Eugene (Amy) Burma and Robert Eugene (Ariel) Burma; many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Lorraine Frerich and Darold and Patricia Burma.
