Donna B. Trigg

Donna Trigg, age 79, of Milaca, passed away peacefully among family on January 17, 2018. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Donna’s life will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2 – 4 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.

Donna B. (Lepper) Trigg was born February 27, 1938 to Vernon and Mildred (Otkin) Lepper in Pipestone County. She grew up in the small town of Holland in southwest Minnesota. Donna attended country school until the 8^th grade. In 1962, she married Earl Trigg and moved to Page Township in Mille Lacs County. It was there that they started their family. They also owned and operated Page Garage. Donna and Earl later moved to Milaca and raised their six children. Donna was a stay-at-home mom and also did some babysitting for a few other families. She had a true love for children.

In 1994, Donna moved into the Hi-Rise Apartments in Milaca. She made a lot of wonderful friends there that enjoyed taking walks, doing puzzles and 2:00 coffee with treats. Donna loved to spend time with family, playing cards and being with her grandchildren. She loved going on trips with her cousin, Margie, and doing sleepovers with the grandkids. She always looked forward to the holidays to enjoy some great food and watching old family videos.

She is survived by her six children, Rick Trigg of Milaca, Randy Trigg of Milaca, Rhonda (Randy) Shellito of Foreston, Renee (John) Fransen of Milaca, Rita (Mike) Cassens of Milaca and Rochelle Trigg (Greg) of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Danielle, Travis, Justin, Matthew, Amanda, Ashley, Kayla, Kaitlin, Corey and Haley; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Rylee; brother, Larry Lepper of Texas; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Mildred Lepper, sister, Carol Fulin and Earl Trigg.
