Edith Elizabeth Thilquist

November 26, 1927 — September 9, 2019

Funeral service for Edith Thilquist, age 91, of Milaca, will be held Friday, September 13, 2019 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca.  Interment will follow at Chase Brook Cemetery near Milaca.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 5- 7 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.  Edith passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at Milaca Elim Home.

Edith Elizabeth Thilquist was born on November 26, 1927 to Carl and Hannah (Nelson) Robideau in Milaca, Minnesota.

She was united in marriage to Arthur Thilquist on December 13, 1946 at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca.

Edie enjoyed gardening, making rhubarb wine and cooking for her family, for the church, and at the American Legion.  She served the church and community in many ways.

She was thoughtful, kind-hearted, gentle, humorous, and a friend to many.

We are thankful for the Elim Nursing Home for their loving care for the last eight years.

Edie passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019.

She is survived by children, Linda (Benton) Ramson, Jack (Chris), Mary (Jim) Ralph and Jay;  nine grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren;  also by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art and also son, Art and five siblings.
