Memorial services for Elaine Boening, age 74, of Hillman, formerly of Minneapolis, will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 6 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:30 – 6 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Elaine Helen Boening was born March 11, 1943 to John and Helen (Wida) Yurecko in Minneapolis. She grew up and attended school in Minneapolis. Elaine worked at Fanny Farmer, Big Top Restaurant and also cooked at many places over the years. She also did day care for several years. Elaine had many talents: sewing, knitting, painting, building and cooking. She was interested in almost any hobby. Elaine was also very musically talented. She had a beautiful singing voice and played the piano. Elaine passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Milaca Elim Home. She is survived by her children, Vernette Eli, Victoria Jeys, Vanessa Peterson, Heather Peterson and Debra Jeys and their father, Vernon Jeys; grandchildren, Cody Davis, Jayda Peterson, Jessica Peterson, Colton Peterson and Kaitlyn Peterson; brother, John Yurecko; the husband of her final marriage, Dale Boening; also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and love of her life, Dale Firchau and sons, Vaughn Yurecko and Vernon Jeys.
