Elmer Herman Frank Carlson

Funeral services for Elmer Carlson, age 86, of Milaca, formerly of Brooklyn Park, will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Pease Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Michael Ten Haken officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow in the Pease Cemetery.

Elmer Herman Frank Carlson was born on January 08, 1933 in Superior, Wisconsin to Carl and Hertha (Hache) Carlson.  He was united in marriage to Maxine Clark on February 03, 1957 at First Baptist Church in Saint Cloud.  Elmer was a proud member of the 49’ers.  He enjoyed retirement years in his home shop fabricating and working on machinery.

He participated in many threshing shows with his John Deere “M” tractor and camping.

Elmer passed away with his wife by his side on January 12, 2019 at their residence.

Elmer is survived by his wife, Maxine Carlson, of 61 years; children, Caren (Frank) of Minnesota/Arizona, Glenn (Chris) of Nowthen, Dale (Carolyn) of Oak Grove, and Gail (Michael) of Nowthen; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Amy, Joe, Jim, Jackie, Mitchell, Brady, Jefferson, and Emily; eight great-granchildren; sister, Fritzie; brothers, Harry, Lloyd, and Carlyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
