Gloria Lorraine Olson

Funeral services for Gloria Olson, age 74, of Milaca, will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2 PM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Memorials are preferred to the MS Society. 

Gloria Lorraine Olson was born May 22, 1944 to Lloyd and Lorraine (Hokanson) Olson in Milaca, MN. She grew up on the family farm in Borgholm Township and attended country school.  Gloria graduated from Milaca High School in 1962.  She was united in marriage to Julius Olson on January 29, 1963. She was a committed wife and mother and greatly valued her marriage and family.

Gloria was saved as a young wife and mother.  She was a woman of prayer and lead many Bible studies with the Christian Women’s Club and hosted many Bible studies in her home. 

Gloria was an accomplished artist in painting and needlework.  She had a creative eye for using things from nature to decorate their home.  She enjoyed good music, chocolate and spending time with her grandchildren.

Gloria lived her life with MS with grace, dignity and a positive attitude.  She always held onto her faith to sustain her, genuinely trusting in God.  Anyone who spent time with Gloria went away encouraged.  She passed on to glory and to her Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.

She is survived by her husband, Julius;  three sons, Allen (Becky) and their children, Nicole and Tyler, Col. (Retired) Charles (Louanna) and their children, Austin and Casey and Brian (Gretchen) and their children, Eric, Erin and Anders;  also by many other relatives and friends.
