Jacklyn Ann (Cramer) Sperr of Ogilvie, Minnesota, has ended her battle with cancer on Dec 6th, 2022 at the age of 66 years old. A memorial gathering will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 1 - 4 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. A time of sharing memories will take place at 2:30 PM
Jackie was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on September 22nd, 1956, the second daughter of John Cramer and Ruby (Tessmer) Cramer. She grew up in Brooklyn Center and spent summers at Knife Lake near Mora. Growing up surrounded by the love of two older siblings and two younger siblings gave her the excitement, stability, and inspiration to form her life-long mission to uplift and support everyone near her.
After graduating high school she moved to Minneapolis, and met Allen Sperr. They married and moved from their starter home to their newly built dream home in Brooklyn Park. She soon bettered her career as a highly respected administrative assistant at Abbott Hospital. She worked with the world’s best spine and heart specialist. All along she made friends and won awards, being the first to win the interdisciplinary excellence award.
Eventually she moved into jobs of joy. Some of her highlights include continuing her education, child care and development, freelance gardener, assisting in foster care, and caring for adults with special disabilities.
When it came time to retire, Jackie moved to Ogilvie to be near her son, daughter in-law, and childhood memories at the cabin.
Only a year after finding her new dream home in the country she found an aggressive cancer in her jaw. Refusing to accept the time line set before her she powered through surgery and radiation therapy, coming out with a passion to continue life on her terms. This drive is what allowed her to stay independent up to the very end.
Jackie is preceded in death by her father John Cramer, sister Kathleen, brother David, and ex-husband Allen.
Jackie is followed in passing by her mother Ruby (Tessmer) Cramer.
Jackie is survived by her son Michael Sperr, her daughter in-law Jacki Josie-Sperr, her sisters Patricia Duffy and Janice Danielson, her niece Kelly Duffy as well as countless friends and loved ones.
