Jacob "Jake" Alderink

Funeral services for Jacob “Jake” Alderink, age 89, of Minneapolis, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Christian Reformed Church in Pease, MN.  Interment with military honors will follow at Pease Cemetery.  Interment with military honors will follow at Pease Cemetery.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Jacob “Jake” Albert Alderink was born to Henry and Ada (Hanenburg) Alderink on January 24, 1930 in Pease, Minnesota.  He attended trade school.  He served in the US Army from 1951 – 1952.

Jake was a proud IBEW 292 retired member and was an active Christian Reformed church member, and also a real estate investor.

He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

Jake passed away September 21, 2019 at Crest View Senior Community in Blaine, Minnesota.

He is survived by his children, Donna (Bryce) Wickstrom of Lake Elmo, Ivan (Gigi) Alderink of Coon Rapids, and Brenda Shaw (Chris Vee) of East Bethel; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister, Marion Swanson of Virginia, MN.

Jake was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, four sisters, and a granddaughter.
