James Van Delinder, 93 years old, of Milaca, MN, formerly from Deltona, FL.
Because of the coronavirus, and because Jim has many family and friends across the country, in lieu of a service we are doing a Zoom Celebration of Life on November 7, 2020 at 8:00 PM CST.
He was born May 10, 1927 to Scott and Alice (Saunders) Van Delinder in Elgin, Illinois. He went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education. Jim was united in marriage to Jean Campbell October 17, 1947. They lived and taught school in Illinois until their retirements and then moved to Florida. Jim made lifelong friends with some of his coworkers and many of his students. They loved to travel, play mini-golf, and also enjoyed Bridge and Pinochle.
Jim is survived by his two daughters, Donna Magliano of Pompano Beach, FL and Nancy (Gary) Hamm of Milaca, MN; grandson, Chad (Janeene) Mankins and great-grandsons Elijah, Zeke, Levi, and Gideon of Midlothian, TX; granddaughter, Sarah (John) Skees and great-grandson Ethan of Sanford, FL; step-granddaughter, Jenn Fowler and great-granddaughters, Mady, Libby, and Emma of Sanford, FL; step-grandson, David (Trisha) Hamm and great-grandsons, Tanner and Bode of Red Wing, MN.
Jim wass preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; wife Jean; two sons-in-law Mike Magliano and Dave Mankins; step-grandson Jim Fowler, and great-granddaughter Ellie Skees.
