Jimmy Ray Stark

Jimmy Ray Stark, age 65, of Milaca, passed away at his home on Monday, July 8, 2019. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 at 1 PM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church. Interment will follow at Borgholm Cemetery near Bock. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home from 5-8 PM and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Jimmy was born on August 31, 1953, in Milaca to Lennart and Louisa (Bork) Stark. After graduation, he worked for a few years before buying his parent’s farm and farmed for many years, which was his passion. In 1987, Jimmy started his career at Crystal Cabinets, where he worked for over thirty years and retired from there in September 2018. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, farming and visiting with family and friends. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and thought the world of them all. He will be remembered for always having a smile on his face, always upbeat and his quick one-liners’ when the opportunity arose.

He is survived by his children, Marcia (Brian) Lasky of Duluth and Larry (Tiffany) Stark of Milaca; siblings Janet Marsden of Austin, Jerry (Judy) Stark of Milaca, Janice (Hank) Berg of Milaca; grandchildren Harrison, Mazie, Tyler, Syxten and Ryland; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lennart and Louisa;  son, Jason and brother in-law, Chuck Marsden.
