Joanne Marie Henrikson was born March 2, 1934 to Fred and Bernice Otto in Johnsonville Township, Redwood County, MN. She grew up in a farming community with seven siblings. She was the oldest of eight children- six girls and two boys.

She graduated from Walnut Grove High School in Walnut Grove, MN in 1952. She worked in the banking industry after graduation. She worked for Sherburne County for 18 years. After her retirement from the county, she worked at McCoy’s Pub in Elk River selling pulltabs.

Joanne enjoyed her family, friends, and care takers at the Princeton Elim Wellspring. She especially enjoyed the chocolate doughnuts and Diet Coke brought to her by her brother, Dale. She also enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, and trips to the casino.

Joanne resided at the Princeton Elim Wellspring for the past four years, where she had sweet friends and exemplary caretakers.

She passed away July 6, 2024.

Joanne is survived by her children, Janell Everett of Tomball, TX, Pete (Jodi) Hoff of Northome, MN, Jackie (Mike) Jacobs of Underwood, MN, Steve Leonard of Hockley, TX and Lisa (Janssen) Aaron of Maplewood, MN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Ron Otto of Pasadena, TX and Dale Otto of Milaca; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Private family burial will take place at a later date.
