Jordon Joel Peterson

Funeral services for Jordon Peterson, age 84, of Isle, will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 1 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.  Interment will take place at Opstead Baptist Cemetery near Isle.

Jordon Joel Peterson was born January 6, 1935 to Angmar and Myrtle (Johnson) Peterson in Haybrook Township. He was united in marriage to Joyce Shelton on February 23, 1957 in Mora, MN.  They made their home in Columbia Heights for seven years.  They then returned to the family farm and continued farming.  Jordon drove school bus for forty-one years.  He served as Haybrook Township Board Supervisor for sixteen years.  He enjoyed spending time with family, working outdoors and snowmobiling.  He passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at St. Cloud Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Joan Peterson of Isle;  children, Joel (Julene) Peterson of Isle, Jay Peterson of Isle, Janice (Jerry) Kuss of Cedar and Jeno Peterson of Albany;  eight grandchildren and their spouses;  fifteen great-grandchildren;  sisters, Jewel (Howard) Werner of Willmar and Dorothy Mae Scott of Isle;  also by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents;  baby brother, Loren Peterson and sisters, Jeraine Futrell and Joyce Strunge.
