Kate Barbara Gorecki

Kate Barbara Gorecki passed away June 8, 2018 at Milaca Elim after a lengthy bout with cancer. 

Kate was born November 9, 1952 to Benedict and Dorothy Gorecki in Williston, North Dakota.  Her family moved to Milaca, MN in 1967.  Kate graduated from Milaca High School in 1970. She resided in Montrose, MN and was employed by Health Partners in the Minneapolis area.

Kate was greeted in Heaven by her father, Benedict Gorecki;  infant son, Joseph Benjamin;  siblings, Steven, Mary and Sandra;  grandparents and other loving relatives.

Family left to mourn her passing are three sons, Jerome Statema, Calvin Statema and Jeffrey (Kirsten) Statema;  grandson, Sawyer Statema;  mother, Dorothy Gorecki;  sister, Linda (Ray) Locher;  also by uncles, aunts and cousins.

Special thanks to the St. Benedict’s Senior Community, Milaca Elim, St. Cloud Centra Care Hospice and all who were involved in her tender loving care.

Honoring Kate’s request, no funeral service will be held.  Private burial will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Cemetery in Brennyville, MN at a later date.
