Larry Paul

Larry Paul, age 77, of Milaca, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Larry Paul was born March 8, 1947 to Martin Paul and Bernice (Pahl) Paul in Milaca, MN. He attended the schoolhouse down the road from where he lived and graduated from Milaca High School in 1966. Larry married Janell Strenge on June 1, 1974. They had three children John, Brian and Katie. He was a proud father and devoted husband. He was a man with many jokes and loved talking. He enjoyed the family farm where he was born and raised and then raised his own family there.

In his younger years, Larry enjoyed riding snowmobiles and motorcycles. During his life he worked at Ratzlaff Lumber and Bauerly Brothers. Larry worked at Bauerly Brothers for 30 years and until his retirement. He was proud of his work at Bauerly Brothers and he formed great lifelong friendships there. He enjoyed going to work everyday and joking around with people and playing pranks on them.

Larry is survived by son, Brian Paul; daughter, Katie (Evan) Phillips; brother, George (Judy) Paul; grandkids, Ava and Johnathan and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by wife; Janell Paul; son, John Paul; parents, Martin and Bernice Paul; father and mother-in-law, Eilert (Hazel) Strenge; brothers-in-law, Jerry Strenge and Dennis Strenge and nephews, Randall Strenge and B.B Strenge.
