Lois (Wiedewitsch) Winter, age 93, of Milaca, passed away March 11, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca. Burial will follow at St. Edward’s Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Lois was born April 11, 1931 to Raymond and Esther (Giles) Roberts in Tracy, MN. As a young girl her family moved to Princeton, MN. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1949. She met Russell Wiedewitsch and they were married November 17, 1950. To this marriage they were blessed with six children, David, Virginia “Gini”, Daniel, Valerie, Vicki and Duane. Russell passed away January 1, 1977. In 1979, Lois met Richard “Dick” Winter and they were married October 27, 1979. Dick had five children of his own and brought the total to eleven kids! They made their home north of Princeton and later moved south of Princeton. Dick passed away March 15, 2012. She later moved to Milaca where she lived until her passing.
Lois is survived by her children, David and Teresa, Virginia and Virgil, Daniel and Lynette, Valerie, Vicki and Duane; step-children, Doreen, Tim, Robin and LeAnn and John; siblings, Duane, Ronald and Donna, and Kent; sixteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Esther; husbands, Russ and Dick; brother-in-law, Marvel and Ed Trunk; sister-in-law, Bonnie Roberts; daughter-in-law, Colleen and step-son, Darrell Winter.
