A celebration of life for Lynae Jean Bemis, age 73, will be held Friday, April 26th at 4:00 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Pastor Tim Bauer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lynae passed away March 17th at the Milaca Elim Home.
Lynae Bemis was born November 26th1945 in Plentywood, Montana to Arthur and Alice (Hanson) Klofstad. The family moved to a small dairy farm west of Foreston in 1956. She attended a one-room country school and walked, weather permitting, the mile to school every day with her sister, Pam, until they started school in Milaca the following year.
Lynae was known as a hard worker with a great work ethic. She was a former business owner and a supervisor at Harris Hardwoods and at Gor-Mil Manufacturing during her time of employment. She loved reading, flower gardening, and baking her famous molasses and chocolate chip cookies. She liked to play solitaire and poker on her computer and if you couldn’t reach her by phone, that was usually the reason. She loved her little dog, Buster, and her dog, Buffy, and enjoyed teaching Buffy tricks.
Lynae was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Alice Klofstad; step-father, William Snow; brother, Robert Klofstad; infant children, Bradley and Gina Bemis and infant granddaughter, Alyssa Meixell-Bemis
Lynae is survived by children, Stacy (Jim) Coughlin, Michael Bemis, Charles (Lynn) Bemis, Scott Bemis; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Anita Bjorgen, Glenny Bervick, Ione Pedersen, Howard (Arlene) Klofstad, Pam Ogle, Wendy Stay and Art Klofstad.
