She loved skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing, especially with her grandsons. Al and Marian loved to travel. In 1979, they brought thirty relatives on a school bus to Florida for Christmas, playing 500 all they way down and back. After Al passed away in 1996, she remained very active and took many trips with her daughters. They went to Australia where she took a hot air balloon ride over Ayers Rock. They traveled to Alaska and went horseback riding, white water rafting and took a helicopter ride to see Mount McKinley. They also went to Hawaii twice, a cruise to Aruba, and just three years ago they took a road trip to Bozeman, MT to see family.
