Marilyn Kristine Graham

January 26, 1952 — April 29, 2019

 A celebration of life Marilyn K. Graham (Holter), age 67, of Bena, formerly of Milaca/Foley will be held Tuesday, May 07, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Glendorado Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held Monday, May 06 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and also one hour prior to services at church.  Interment will follow at Glendorado Lutheran Cemetery.

Marilyn Kristine Graham was born January 26, 1952 to Selmer and Lois Shapansky Holter.  She graduated from Foley High School in 1970 and Anoka-Hennepin Technical College in 1972 as an LPN.  She married Cecil Graham, Jr. in 1974.  Marilyn was employed at Princeton and then Milaca Elim Homes for many years. She most recently worked at Becker’s Resort in Bena and Cass Lake School District in the dietary department. Marilyn was a caretaker.  She loved caring for the nursing home residents and her interactions with the children at the resort and school.

Marilyn’s greatest joys were her five children and twelve grandchildren.  She unconditionally treasured and embrace every moment she spent with them. Marilyn enjoyed reading, cooking, wildflowers, and making quilts for each of her grandchildren.

She passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 at her residence in Bena.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Eric (Stacy) of Gilman, Shannon (Adam) Rensenbrink of Foreston, Kyle (Jessica) of Milaca, Kari (Trevor) of Mora, and Joshua (Jennifer) of Milaca; grandchildren, Allison, Lydia, Nathan, Kendall, Tyler, Bailey, Eli, Dylan, Jayden, and Emiley, Hallie, and Cole; brother, Gordon (Judy); sisters, Phyllis (Rich) Brunn, Nancy (Doug) Andresen, and Linda Holter; brother-in-law, Sherman Anderson; sisters-in-laws, Helen, Mavis, and Diane; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Welcoming Marilyn to her heavenly home include her husband, parents, brothers, Duane, Bob, Dale, and Ron; sister, Jan Anderson, and lastly, Conway Twitty singing her favorite song, “Hello Darlin”.  It’s nice to see you.  It’s been a long time….”
