Maxine Carlson was born September 16, 1938 in Anthon, Iowa. She grew up in North Dakota and then moved to Saint Cloud, where she graduated from Saint Cloud Tech. She was united in marriage to Elmer Carlson February 03, 1957, to this union four children were born: Caren (Frank), Glenn (Chris), Dale (Carolyn), and Gail (Michael). Elmer and Maxine lived their first year of marriage in a log cabin on Medicine Lake. Caren was born and they moved to their home in Brooklyn Park, where they welcomed Glenn, Dale, and Gail. During that time, Maxine was a devoted employee of Target for 30+ years. They lived in Brooklyn Park for 48 years until moving to the country between Princeton and Pease.
Maxine loved watching the wildlife. Wintertime brought her amazement of how the wind could change the landscape with so many drifts. Her true enjoyment was going to “her lake place” in Staples. She loved Listening to the sound of loons from early morning to the evening when she was relaxing. Fishing was always a favorite past time, along with reading and embroidering. Tractor shows for Elmer and Maxine were a big part of fall activities. Blue grass and country music with the added addition of walking tacos and kettle corn. What really touched Maxine’s heart was her Pease Church family and the fellowship they shared.
May God bless each of you and the way you have blessed mom.
