Mildred Walbridge

Mildred Ida Ann Walbridge, age 86, of Milaca, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Elim Meadows with her family by her side.

Mildred was born April 22, 1938 in Cloquet, Minnesota to Maurice and Irene (Berglund) Odegaard. Mildred moved to Milaca with her family at an early age. She married Richard Walbridge on August 20, 1955 and together they raised four children on a farm just north of Milaca. Mildred worked at the Elim Meadows Assisted Living for over 25 years.

Richard and Mildred retired to summers on Big Sandy Lake in McGregor and then to Rockport, Texas for ten years, where they enjoyed the ocean and visits from their children. Mildred enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing, family camping trips out west, watching sports, listening to classical music, puzzles and playing games with friends and family.

Mildred is survived by her children Steven, Sandra, Joel (Sheila) and Randy (Jody); grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Alicia, Joseph, Miranda (Andrew), Mitchell, Marcus, Danielle (Andrew) and Sam; ten great-grandchildren; also by many other relatives and friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; daughter-in-law, Connie Kay (Mueller) Walbridge and siblings,Shirley and Arnold.

A celebration of Mildred’s life will be held at a later date.
