Nathan Laurence Zurn, age 24, of Foreston, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, October 14, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca. Visitation will be from 2 – 5 PM Sunday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will take place at St. Aloysuis Cemetery in Olivia, MN at 3 PM on Monday.
Nate was born September 17, 1995 to Jerald “Jerry” and Anita (Martin) Zurn in Burnsville, MN. He grew up in the Milaca area and attended Milaca Public Schools, where he played football, golf and did trap shooting in high school. He later attended Anoka Hennepin Technical College and graduated with a degree in CNC Manufacturing Technology. He worked at the Dairy Queen in Milaca, Kaseman Machine in Becker and was currently employed as a CNC Machinist at Graco in Rogers.
Nate enjoyed fishing, hunting pheasant and deer. He enjoyed trap and sporting clays shooting on various teams. He started team shooting his senior year in high school and continued until this fall. He will be greatly missed by his family, the many friends that he had and his co-workers.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Anita Zurn; brothers, Christopher Zurn of Foley and Joshua (Shy) Zurn of Foley; nephew and niece, Leo and Carolyn; grandparents, Marie Zurn of Olivia, Joe Martin of Sacred Heart and Marjorie Barber of Olivia; aunts and uncles, Jane (John) Larsen of Olivia, Jim (Koren) Zurn of New Prague, John (Jen) Zurn of Omaha, NE, Jeff (Andrea) Zurn of Kerkhoven and Brian (Sara) Martin of Sauk Rapids; also by many cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Zurn and Linda Brown.
