Norman M. Bunting, 87, of Zimmerman, MN, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his immediate family. Norm loved his golf, sports, cribbage games and had a sense of humor that would catch a person off guard. He was a graduate of Mound High School. A man who has been known to be called the “Miracle Man” and proved to many he was. His will to live was of itself unbelievable and taught many to never give up. Although his body was unable to fight as hard the past months, he was able to enjoy his life with family and friends, even golfing to the end in the middle of November. The most gracious and devoted man to his family and friends and a true caretaker of everyone he knew. He was especially proud of his family and has left us many great memories. He is now with the love of his life, Jan; we are so blessed to have had you both in our lives and now watching over us.

Norm is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Terrie and Jim (Bubs) Herbert; granddaughters, Emily (Adam) Veurink and Samantha Herbert; great-grandson, Briggs Wayne and great-grandbaby Veurink on the way. Also survived by brothers, Gerald Bunting and Bruce (Pat) Bunting; sisters, Barbara (Peter) Niesen and Sandra Bartick; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Joe) Bogucki, Sandra Scott and Dorothy Reinking; dear friends, Don Herman along with Lee and Phyllis Ketcher and loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by wife, Janice Bunting; parents, James and Cora Bunting; brother, Herb (Priscilla) Bunting; brother-in-law, James Bartick; in-laws; Herb and Esther Reinking, Arlene and Leo Rol, Mardell and Emory Theis, Floyd and Joanne Reinking, Audrey and Alex Hanson, Marvin and Marlene Reinking, Lyle Reinking and Walter Scott.

A special Thank You to the Doctors, Nurses and CNA’s of Fairview Princeton, especial dad’s dream team, Dr. Peterson and Dr. Katter. He could not have received any better care during all his hospital stays.
