Reuben D. Northway

Reuben “Ike” Deloss Northway of Foreston, 93, passed away on June 4, 2018.

Visitation will be held on June 8, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home.  Funeral will be held on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 11 am at Estes Brook Evangelical Free Church with visitation one hour prior to services. Casketbearers will be his grandchildren.

Ike was born on January 20, 1925 to Myron and Clara (Aarseth) Northway at home in Milo Township. This was the same place he called home for his entire 93 years of life.  He graduated from Milaca High School in 1943.  He farmed with his family following high school.  He married Doris Anderson on November 27, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Milaca.  Their marriage was blessed with three children-Nancy, Tim, & Sharon.  He worked at Lunn Construction.  He then worked at Federal Cartridge for 23 years along with continuing the family farm.  He was a jack of all trades.  He enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris; sister Marian; children Nancy (Ron), Tim (Sandy), and Sharon (Tom); grandchildren Joel (Missy), Leah (Alan), Stacy (John), Lindsey (Keven), Kelly (Chris), Tracy (Eric), Kyle (Jenny); and 10 great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Myron & Clara, siblings and in-laws Llewellyn (Marian), Leona (Glen), Dorothy (Don), Bonnie (Melvin), infant brother Leo; and son-in-law Adrian.
