Richard "Sonny" Thomas, Jr.

Richard “Sonny” Thomas, Jr. was born August 27, 1950 and passed away January 10, 2025 at the young age of 74. A celebration of Sonny’s life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 from 1 – 5 PM at Back Alley Bowl in Milaca.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife, Cyndi and his three beautiful kids, Chip, Dawn and Regina, plus all of his grandchildren. Sonny will be met on the other side by his parents, Richard and Emma Thomas and by some of his siblings, Sharon, Babe, and Julie. There are other family members waiting for him, too many to name.

Out of all the jobs Sonny did, what he enjoyed most was running his own bowling alley in Iowa. He loved to bowl with his family and friends. When he wasn’t bowling, he was coaching bowling from the sidelines. Bowling became a huge part of his life and his family’s life. Other than bowling, his biggest hobby was his pugs. All of his pugs will miss him dearly. 

Sonny may no longer be by our side, but he will forever be in our hearts and watching all of us from above.
