Ronald Bernard Hass

Memorial services for Ronald Hass, age 81, of Isle, formerly of Milaca, will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca.  Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 AM at the church on Monday.

Ronald Bernard Hass was born August 10, 1937 in Bemidji, MN, the only child of Ben and Vera (Olson) Hass. His mother was a school teacher and his father was a farmer.  Ron graduated from Blackduck High School in 1955.  He married Carol Quam on September 17, 1960 in Albert Lea, MN.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 1961.  Ron practiced Veterinary Medicine for 41 years in Milaca.  He loved working with farmers and horses were his favorite animals. Ron was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca and Bethesda Lutheran Church in Malmo.  He loved sports and was active in football, baseball and basketball, with basketball being his favorite.   Ron loved hunting, fishing, golfing and most of all, spending time with his family.  He passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Milaca Elim Home.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol;  three children, Dr. Anthony (Tracy) Hass of Ogilvie, Todd Hass of Milaca and Marie (Todd) Hendrickson of Milaca;  four grandchildren, Alex (Dayna) Hass, Elliot Hass, Nathan Hass and Chloe Hendrickson; one great-grandchild, Parker Hass; also by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Carter Hendrickson.
