Scott Darryl Hultgren, age 64, of Big Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on March 20, 2025.

Scott was born June 16, 1960 in Litchfield, MN, to parents Craig and Judy Hultgren. He grew up in Minnetonka, MN. After moving to Superior, WI he attended Superior Senior High School, graduating in 1978. He went on to attend one year at St. Paul Bible College, a couple of technical schools and completed an apprenticeship with Sheet Metal Local 10. He served nine years in the Army Reserves and about 40 years as a Commercial Tinner in the Twin Cities area. Scott was introduced to his wife, Rhoda Brown, by Rhoda's mother Beulah, and Scott's mother, Judy right before college. He married Rhoda on July 28, 1984. They remained married for 40 years. They enjoyed visiting family and friends all over the USA as well as England, Scotland, and Japan. They have no children, however as Scott said, "...we enjoy spending time with everyone else's, thus giving them a break." Scott was recognized around the neighborhood and town driving in his yellow Volkswagen with a camera in his hand. He photographed many events and was generous with sharing his pictures. Scott also enjoyed rock climbing, reading books and magazines. He loved planning and implementing the projects he had read about. He was quick to give or offer help and received the utmost respect from everyone. Scott practiced what he believed in and quietly lived out his faith. He loved his family and extended family.

Scott is survived by his wife, Rhoda Hultgren; four brothers, Chris Hultgren and wife Deirdre, Patrick Hultgren and wife Kim, Doug Hultgren, Chad Hultgren and wife Alecia; also by many nephews, nieces, two great-nephews and two great-grandnieces.Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Craig and Judy Hultgren.

A service celebrating Scott's life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Nowthen Alliance Church. Visitation will take place from 11 AM to 1 PM before the service at the church on Saturday.
