Sherrill Joy Dahlberg

Funeral services for Sherrill Dahlberg, age 84, of Milaca will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11 AM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.  Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sherrill Joy Dahlberg was born March 26, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Clifford and Marian (Harsted) Peterson. She grew up and attended school in Chicago.  While at St. Paul Bible College, she met Philip Dahlberg and they were married on April 3, 1954 in Chicago, IL.  During Philip’s military service the resided in Tacoma, WA.  When Philip completed his service, they lived in Barnum, MN from 1955 to 1957 before moving to Milaca. 

In the fall, Sherrill loved to work at Camp Shamineau, where she helped cook for the retreats.  She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, music and spending time with her grandchildren.

She passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at her home in Milaca.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (David) Lien of Milaca, Kimberle Dahlberg of St. Cloud and Annette (Kevin) Athmann of Cold Spring;  sons, Bruce (Dana) Dahlberg of Isle and Jeff Dahlberg of Milaca;  eleven grandchildren;  nine great-grandchildren;  four great-great-grandchildren; five siblings;  also by many other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip;  son, Terry and three infant children.
