Steven D. Eigenheer was born to Harley and Dorothy (Lively) Eigenheer on September 25, 1951 in Brainerd, MN. He passed away March 8, 2025 in Tulsa, OK due to a sudden onset of stage 4 liver cancer. He had many interests and hobbies including trapping, hunting and fishing. He was a guide on Mille Lacs Lake in his younger years. He served his country in the Army from February of 1972 to January 1975 and became part of the 82nd Airborne unit as a paratrooper, completing over a hundred jumps. While in the army he specialized in communications which led to his career of over 45 years in the telephone construction industry. During those years he has been everything from a lineman, cable splicer and inspector to a construction supervisor and state manager. In 1993 Steve married Judy (Johnson). They have had many adventures during their 32 years living in Minnesota, western Nebraska and in 2004 settling in Oklahoma along with work assignments in Georgia, Wyoming, Iowa and South Dakota. During those times they enjoyed his stock car racing experiences, going to auctions, golfing and playing Texas Hold’em. Together they have six children, Stephanie (Dave) Conzet, Todd (Sarah) Eigenheer, Anna Hoskins, Nicholas (Desirae) Hoskins, Bethany (Josh) Stalcar and Michael Boettcher. They are blessed to have 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He loved being Grandpa/Papa/GG. Even though he didn’t live close, they were always in his heart and on his mind. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather! He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Brad and Jerry Eigenheer and sister, Lora Eigenheer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. Burial with full military honors will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
