Tyron Otto Jacobson

Funeral services for Tyron Jacobson, age 61, of Fridley, will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the Wendell Hill Cemetery.

Tyron Otto Jacobson was born to Orville and Hazel (Nelson) Jacobson on October 15, 1956 in Mora, MN. He graduated from Fridley High School in 1974. After graduating, he worked for Johnson Sod Farm and later at Brathen’s Meats. He then began driving bus and motor coach for Voigt’s. Tyron married Carol Larson on July 26, 1986. He drove for Voigt’s for many years and then went to drive dock truck at McCallum Transfer Inc. for a few short years. Tyron had to stop working after getting sick in 2004. He loved hunting, snowmobiling, dancing, traveling, and fishing. Tyron passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at North Memorial Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Jacobson; nephew, Matthew Jacobson, and many other relatives and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel (Nelson) Jacobson; wife, Carol Jacobson; son, Ernie Jacobson; daughter, Amber Jacobson; granddaughter, Clara Jacobson; brother, Doug (Mary) Jacobson; also by many other family and friends.
